What's happening: WAR is migrating to a new token contract. Kraken will handle this on your behalf, no action is required.
Your token distribution: We're using two balance snapshots to determine your allocation:
Snapshot 1 – March 10, 2026 at 20:11:49 UTC: Clients with WAR balances at this time will receive 90% of their allocation, in line with the standard on-chain migration rate.This snapshot was set by the WAR team, not Kraken.
Snapshot 2 – April 10, 2026 at 14:00 UTC: Clients with current WAR balances will receive a proportional share of the remaining 10%. This is a distribution Kraken is making voluntarily to ensure current holders aren't excluded.
Key dates: April 10, 2026 at 14:00 UTC: WAR trading and withdrawals pause; Snapshot 2 is taken Week of April 13, 2026: Open WAR orders cancelled April 13–17, 2026 at 23:59 UTC: Migration window; balances updated automatically April 17, 2026: Market moves to post-only while liquidity establishes Following week: Full trading resumes
Token details: The WAR ticker remains unchanged. Once migration is complete, the WAR in your account will reflect the new token. Legacy WAR will be delisted.
Note: Please do not deposit any legacy WAR tokens, as they have been paused. Deposits of the legacy WAR token received after deposits were paused will not be included in the migration and may be lost.
