Feb 17, 2026 - 16:00 UTC
STEP has announced that it will be shutting down. As a result, Kraken will be delisting STEP and disabling related services in phases.
Because the underlying chain may shut down without notice, we strongly recommend taking action as soon as possible. If the chain stops before the dates below, remaining balances may be permanently lost.
Key dates: • March 20, 2026, 14:00 UTC: Deposits and trading for STEP will be disabled. • June 18, 2026, 14:00 UTC: Withdrawals will be disabled for clients in the EEA. • June 19, June 29, 2026: Any remaining balances will be liquidated.
Important notes:
• The STEP network may shut down before these dates. If this happens, withdrawals may no longer be possible and remaining balances could be lost. • We recommend following STEP’s official social channels for updates regarding the project shutdown. • If liquidation occurs, execution prices may be significantly worse than current market prices due to liquidity and market conditions. This could result in minimal or no proceeds.
To avoid disruption, please review your account and withdraw or convert any STEP balances ahead of the deadlines above. Posted on
