Ethereum Fusaka Upgrade Maintenance Dec 3, 2025 21:49-22:49 UTC

Ethereum is undergoing Fusaka upgrade aimed to enhance the network's scalability, efficiency, and decentralization by introducing several key technical improvements. These changes primarily focus on optimizing data availability, state management, and resource usage, making Ethereum more accessible for validators, developers, and Layer 2 (L2) solutions like Arbitrum, Optimism, and zkSync.

Hard fork is scheduled to activate on December 3, 2025, at Ethereum slot 13,164,544 (approximately 21:49 UTC). This timeline is based on developer consensus and testnet progress, though minor delays could occur if issues arise during final audits.

In preparation to Fusaka upgrade we have upgraded all our Ethereum nodes powering the EVM gateways, blockingestion, and various third-party services. We do not expect any downtime during this hard fork and we will keep you informed about the progress of the maintenance.

Scheduled - The Derivatives platform will be unavailable for approximately 15 minutes on Thursday (November 13th) at 08:00 UTC as we perform site maintenance. There will be a period of 'post-only' once the platform is back online and checks are being completed.

Update - Markets are now in post-only mode. Only new limit, post-only orders can be submitted. Other order types will be rejected. Existing orders can still be cancelled.

Scheduled - The Kraken Spot Exchange Website and API will be undergoing maintenance as we upgrade our systems on Thursday, November 13 at 08:00 UTC, and be unavailable for approximately 15 minutes. Please note that this is a rough estimate and the precise time when services return may change slightly. It is recommended not to place or cancel orders during this timeframe. Deposits and withdrawals initiated during the maintenance may be delayed. Sign-in and other non-trading related features will be operational. We kindly advise all our clients to plan ahead accordingly and make necessary account adjustments prior to the start of the maintenance. Following maintenance, markets will briefly enter cancel-only mode, and then post-only mode, before returning to full functionality.
